As I changed my digital artifact in the last couple of weeks, I needed to restart my mindset on how I was going to prototype my assignment. Due to my digital artifact service being blog posts, I couldn’t start them straight away, I needed internal and external research.
Prototyping is a vital element in the media-making process, all stages need to be validated with audience encounters to determine an outsider opinion on the matter of misrepresentation of rap music.
I first looked up numerous articles with the search of viewing rap as more of an art form compared to violent outcast music. When searching through the internet I found several sources in youth development through rap music, these articles explained different viewpoints and learning stages on how to effectively communicate the music. I followed up by asking about people's thoughts on the intergenerational elements of rap music’s audience we see in today’s world.
These findings help show intergenerational issues that help correlate work from journalist/youth worker Carian Thaper, who discovered a pathway for cooperation with troubled kids located in London UK.
The Responses helped me to evaluate what a focus point will be on for my digital artifacts blogs, to re-evaluate the connotations of rap in terms of a focus point needed to be on intergenerational audiences’ issues on rap artists.
I need to gather as much information as possible therefore I can approach it accurately, as my interest in rap music constitutes, I decided to do my bcm111 assignment on a similar topic. I shared my BCM 111 annotated bibliography on my Twitter page to gather some viewers and insights into their opinions.
Although didn’t gain too many more viewers on my website blogs, gaining 2 new viewers over the last coming days.
Therefore, I needed to demand more on the platform of Twitter, recently posting the questions as follow
So far, no responses but I’m sure there will be in time for finalized blog posts, as I will take the same questions to Instagram for a change in the audience.
Overall prototyping has helped me in discovering a theme for my blog posts, I want to leave an audience with evidence through external and internal audiences on how artists are being misrepresented.
