Media Menacing

Kanye God Damn West, Ye has been in flux throughout social media recently due to circumstances that can be pretty controversial, From White Lives Matter merchandise to claiming "George Floyds Killer didn't really have his knee on his neck". Yeah. Ye's been pretty questionable. Below I've listed his recent activity throughout the media platformed world and what we as a society had to say about it.

Ye Recent Menaces

Twitter Banning

Ye has accepted his second social media banishment through the platform Twitter for a violation of their policies, according to the organisation. Ye had a concerning remark about Jewish people on Saturday where he said he would 'death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE". To follow up such a comment, he went on to state "the funny thing is I actually can't be Anti-Sematic because black people are actually jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

His ban follows a similar path through the Instagrams banning system. West's account now has an automated response saying he's violated the rules and policies.

Instagram Banning

Instagram has recently deleted content from Yes instagram page, on top of that placing a restriction on his account after he violated the platforms terms and conditions. A spokesperson from Meta explained the company has the ability to decide to enforce restrictions on people's accounts that commonly break their guidelines as well as for the time being cancel the person from commenting, posting or sending direct messages ( EW.com).

Ye, showcased a screenshot of a conversation held between himself and and fellow producer/rapper Diddy, where Ye had claimed Diddy is being manipulated by the Jewish community. The relation to an old anti-semitic conspiracy theory, Ye goes on stating “no one can threaten or influence me”. Captioning the photo “jesus is jew”.

Less than a few days before, Ye comments on his anti-semitic behaviour on an Fox News Interview with Tucker carlson (seen in the To Watch Section of Wes Studios), getting into a conversation relating to Donald Trump's senior Adviser Jared Kushner ( a Jewish citizen) claiming head broke peace treaties in israel “to make money”.

Angering the online American Jewish community, Ye's actions are seemingly to become more and more careless. Want to know more details, check out EW.com.

George Floyd's Family to take legal action?

Kanye west has risen through the ranks in internet controversy yet again. Ye has now received threats of legal action from George Floyd's family after the rapper falsely claimed that the life-threatening incident involving George Floyd was due to drug use.

After kneeling on my Floyds neck for 9 minutes, Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of the murder of Mr Floyd. An unarmed African American man was handcuffed, lying face down on the street, whelping "I can't breath" as Derek Chauvin blocked his airways, resulting in death.

In an interview on the podcast Drink Champs, in a discussion about Yes's most recent run of anti semitic and racist remarks. He Had this to say about the highly controversial and era-changing events of this murder.

"They hit him with the fentanyl; if you look, the guy's knee wasn't even on his neck like that," stated Ye on the podcast.

A civil rights lawyer responded to the claims on behalf of the Floyds family. "While one cannot defame the dead, the family of #GeorgeFloyd is considering suit for Kanye's false statements about the manner of his death", posted on Twitter shortly after the event on the 16th of October.

"Claiming Floyd died from fentanyl, not the brutality established criminally and civilly, undermines and diminishes the Floyd family's fight."

Floyd passed due to the results of "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint and neck compression", as stated on the final autopsy results from Dr Andrew Baker, chief medical examiner for Hennepin county. There were some traces of fentanyl in Georges's system, although no findings concluded the drug did not play a part in his death.

The Floyd family has gone on to sue Ye for $250 million for his actions, for "harassment, misappropriation, defamation and infliction of emotional distress", according to a statement made by Washington's attorneys.

Showing Porn to Adidas management?

In a recent peculiar event for Mr West, Kanye undertook arguably the most unimaginable business moves of our generation. Ye was videoed playing pornographic film during a recent meeting with confused Adidas executives. Footage showed Ye with two representatives sitting along with two Adidas execs blatantly viewing the adult video. One of the Adidas members asked, "is this a porn video?" Ye replied with a blunt, "yeah".

"Jesus Christ", replied the other Adidas member.

Even with the apparent discomfort and unease, Ye continued to force the video in direct eye line with the others until one of the guys pushed Ye's arm out of his direction.

The main argument for showcasing the adult film was to create a parallel line between the plot exhibited in the movie concerning Ye's business situation with the sports brand Adidas.

Kanye White Lives Matter - Fashion week

It was advertised in a sporadic fashion, where the surprise was more significant than anyone could imagine, throughout the 'secret' catwalk held in Paris in the last few weeks. Kanye West introduced his new and arguably most controversial range of t-shirts, the 'White lives Matter. A basic white tee with those words blatantly written in black across the middle. Worn and showcased in an underground location throughout Paris, the shirt, whereas before the show commenced, ye had this to say.

"Everyone here knows that I am the leader … you can't manage me. This is an unmanageable situation."

Going further mentions his ex-wife Kim Kardashian's jewellery robbery in Paris in 2016, where Kim's robbers bound his wrists and ankles, repeatedly asking her for money and followed on to steal around '5 million dollars' (stated by Kim in an interview) worth of bracelets and necklaces. Other mentions were where Ye went on about his former manager Scooter Braun and his recent breakup with the brand GAP.

A claim from the anti-defamation league classes Kanye's use of the Phrase 'White Lives Matter' as a form of protest against the unjust police brutality on African Americans reframes the black lives matter protest.

Kanye West, since the event, has posted an Instagram story stating 'everyone knows that black lives matter was a scam. Kanye has been gaining much negative media attention from other influencers/artists where. Jaden smith was at the event and reportedly left when viewing the white lives Matter merchandise and had this to say on the matter.

Jaden tweeted, "I Had To Dip Lol…True Leaders Lead" and "I Don't Care Who's It Is If I Don't Feel The Message I'm Out."

West went onto Instagram to explore the issue of himself wearing the 'White Lives Matter shirt, stating he 'Thought the idea of me wearing it was funny". Going further to discuss how Kanye's dad found the idea 'funny' when he said, 'just a black man stating the obvious.'

When confronted in an interview, West was asked to reflect on his actions and discuss why a phrase like this might be controversial. Taking a slight second to answer, Ye replied, "Because the same people that have stripped us of our identity, and labelled us as a colour, have told us what it means to be Black and the vernacular that we're supposed to have"

Kanye's actions throughout the Paris fashion show gained endless media attention and controversy, but maybe Kanye wanted to state himself as a genius. Kanye does things for himself, he's going through a potentially insane section of his life, but with such a media-fueled world, Kanye thrives off having all eyes on Ye.
